说是这样说
但是如果你看收到的简历就知道了
基本上能收到非常非常多的phd的简历
最后招的或者是publication很多或者是有network（学术圈里认识人的）
我目前没有看到一个master的data scientist....

根据供需比来看的。
类似国内的本科生已经不值钱了，硕士也不值啥钱，所以只有博士还能找到些好位置。
不过在坦桑尼亚，高中毕业就已经是抢手货了。

Why focus on Data Scientist?
How many companies need Data Scientist? Not many.
Just like how many company use SAS? Not many at all.
Open your mind, open your eye.
There are many many computer associated jobs on market its title is NOT Data
Scientist, not require a Ph.d degree,Not need SAS, Not need DBA skills.
Many of us with a degree in China can apply this kind of jobs.
How many companies need Data Scientist? Not many.
