Working as a key team member under limited direction, provides technical
expertise by independently and collaboratively determining and developing
solutions to a wide range of complex software engineering challenges.
Understands company goals and practices and applies them when resolving a
variety of problems. Uses judgment, creativity and sound technical knowledge
to obtain and recommend solutions.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Author Functional and Design Specifications for a new
application. Lead the implementation of that tool on both Windows and Linux.
• Interact with stakeholders in other organizations and
translate their needs and processes into requirements.
• Contributes to the development and achievement of
organizational goals and objectives.
• Develops new software engineering methods or processes, re-
evaluates existing processes.
• Cooperates with peers in a globally distributed development
team.
SKILLS
• Entry level, 0-1 years in either C/C++ development in a Linux
environment, or C# in a Windows environment. Applicant will be expected to
become proficient in both areas.
• Academic background, or demonstrated strong interest, in
security, encryption and software vulnerabilities essential.
Knowledge of Embedded System Architecture and firmware is an advantage.
• Good communication skills essential.
Experience interfacing software with hardware very valuable.
• Knowledge of either Visual Studio or gnu toolchain: gcc, make
, gdb.
• XML and Python are nice to have,
• Object Oriented Design and Programming a plus. Especially
knowledge of Design Patterns.
Education Required: Bachelors (Technical)
