Alibaba R&D lab in Seattle&Silicon Valley focuses on developing the cutting
edge technologies in data science and technologies. We start a summer
internship program with emphases on machine learning, data mining, database,
and distributed computation. Below is the job description:
Responsible for at least one of the following tasks:
• Explore large scale data and develop predictive models;
• Design numerical optimization algorithms for large scale
applications;
• Optimize computing performance and improve efficiency;
• Develop system level architecture for big data processing algorithms;
• Implement prototypes and demos for fast turnaround;
• Build tools for common scenarios of data collection, data analyses,
and data presentations.
Location：Seattle or Silicon Valley
Desired Skills and Experience:
Experience with at least one of the following items:
• Machine learning and statistics;
• Large scale distributed computing system;
• System design, efficiency optimization;
• Strong coding skill using one of the programming languages: C++,
Java, Python;
• Self-driven, result-oriented, innovative and collaborative;
• Good communication and presentation ability.
