是不是coding没过关？
这是他的信：
I hope all is well. I wanted to get you an update on everything. The group
really liked you. However, had something more specific in mind for you after
the interview took place. We think you would be a great fit within the Data
Engineering organization here. It would be a great match for your
background, and there are already people here who are interest in you J.
Would it be alright if I introduced you to the recruiter here who handles
those types of roles? He would be able to have a great conversation with you
about everything.
This would mean 2 more interviews with us potentially though. One focused on
SQL, and one focused on Data Modeling. These would take place over VC so
you wouldn’t need to travel again, and we could get them scheduled ASAP for
you since I know you have other interviews/offers.
我记得fb的data engineer很坑的，如果我不面data engineer，是不是就是拒信妥妥的
了？

问了recruiter，他说是design弱掉了。。。T_T，请大神给分析一下，还有没有必要继
续面。
Actually, your coding was good. You did well on that part, and you had good
communication skills as well. Unfortunately, the design portion of the
interview did not go as well. Unfortunately, the system you designed was not
as scalable as we would have wanted, and you’re API was a bit hard to
understand. However, you did do well defining DB tables and cashing.

Data Engineer是挺坑的，我一个同事刚跳过去，每天就是跑hive, 写Python script,
对职业发展不好，没有更好的offer就先去，混个fb的牌子一年后再跳

楼主，你的design题目是什么？是不是很难啊？

我觉得你可以拿个别的差不多的offer然后和recruiter说你看我都拿到了G的offer，然
后要加面一轮。或者换个别的组，比如你现在面的是infrastructure，看看能不能面
mobile或者parse之类的，然后再慢慢转。我觉得做data engineer就是个坑，又不是
data scientist

结果出的这么快啊，我记得lzmm是周五面的，不是一般周五才开会吗. 我周一面的，没
出结果应该跪了，我遇到了牛肉姐说的那种国人面试官。牛肉姐，我现在理解捏了。

我觉得 data engineer虽然很坑，但是基本上就是混个一年多然后跳槽的节奏，无所谓
了

换组可以，但是只能在同一个role之内换。

做了一年的data engineer，之后想跳回SWE就更困难了。FB的牌子还不足以弥补这个损
失。

如果data engineer比现在公司的职位好很多还是跳吧，毕竟一直面试整个过程下来也
很累。要是还有其他选择就先拖一拖把。
有谁在F家的能进来说说吗？

这个很坑啊。。。我觉得是没人愿意去，所以找没过sde bar的人去面。。。钱少没前
途又无聊，只为了FB的牌子值得吗。。。。

没错我周五面的，你没收到消息就是好消息，估计直接周五递committee了，我这个
case根本没资格递啊。。。。直接recruiter打发了。

我认识的人中的确没人愿意去。就算去了的，基本上很快就跳走了。

这组是个坑，我有朋友当时一心想做这个结果进去后说学不到什么而且经常有一堆很繁
琐的事，以后发展也没法跟SDE比，建议你有其他选择还是不要去的好。

谢谢楼主，有时候面试是运气，我的design是国人面的，超nice，可是估计自己答的一
般，挂我我也认了，关键是第三轮国人面试官出了个很难的题，然后又不太愿意我和交
流，那一轮肯定是跪了。祝楼主早拿offer。

big data 只是一个炒起来的concept。很多东西都在这个范畴内。
这里的data engineer是另外一回事儿， 具体的看看之前的帖子就知道了。

加油加油！linkedin那边也push一下问问。FB这边如果拿不定主意可以先拖几天，不急
于马上下结论

其实应该恭喜下，除了design，是个强fit。尝试让他们再给个design机会，也许就过
了。

如果只是做Hive coding和Python的Data engineer确实挺没劲的 这边我认识的几个
Data engineer都是阿三 如果你本身会一些modeling的东西的话 做Data scientist还
是很有意思的 既有paper发也有专利申

楼主 design啥题？我也是挂在design, 实在不行，再等半年重新面吧。如果coding还
行的话，冷冻期估计不用一年！具体多长可以问问recuriter。

FB所谓的data engineer，其实就是以前咨询公司银行的data analyst。大部分商科小
本都会做。

去面呗，拖几个星期再面
同时面其它公司，有更好的就去，没有的话去fb干一年也不错啊
