GENERAL SUMMARY:
As our AR/VR Engineer, you will be responsible for technology planning and
research surrounding AR/VR and MR technology for mobile device and HMD
research and development. You will also be engaged in the development of AR/
VR design requirements, and technical problem solving.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Essential Functions
Provide insights into the AR/VR application requirements and technology
trends, deliver the research proposals, define the technology landscape,
roadmaps, specifications, etc.
Define or re-structure the AR/VR/MR architecture and contribute to building
the advanced prototype, assign work to R&D teams, procure and deploy target
resources to achieve objectives.
Responsible for designing in, the competitive advantage. For AR, the objects
entire image can be completely reproduced in the space, and can be captured
by sight from any angle in any position in the entire space, furthermore
must be of better imaginative quality than other competitors.
Promote product roadmap and contribute to design activities.
Build and manage the local teams to achieve the goals.
Comprehensive knowledge and ability to collaborate with the ecosystem.
Understand product development process to ensure adoption feasibility.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS (Education, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities); (refers to
job, not incumbent)
Education:
Minimum: Master's Degree
Preferred: Master's or PhD
Major/Discipline: Master or higher degree in Computer Science, image and
optical process, eye tracking, SDK, multimedia and mathematics related
ecosystem
Relevant Work Experience:
Minimum: 5+ years of work experience in Computer Vision and AR/VR.
Preferred: 10+ years of work experience in consumer electronics or mobile
devices.
Skills & Abilities: (Technical or General)
Minimum Requirements:
Experience in image and optical process, eye tracking, SDK, multimedia and
mathematics related ecosystem Broad knowledge in image processing and
reproduction,
Successful experience in the AR/VR industry with an industry AR/VR leader or
startup and related academic experience is preferred.
Solid knowledge in light field converting, transforming, switching, and
interfering experience.
Innovation minded, highly capable of thinking systematically and of
redefining the solutions to overcome the competitors. Curious and willing to
challenge existing solutions with innovative technology concepts.
Self-driving, energetic, creative with great communication skills and the
ability to work with international teams.
