Company locates in Bristol, PA hiring chemcist.
You will be responsible for designing a new synthetic route or improving/
repeating an existing synthetic procedure for synthesis of organic compounds
. You may also be responsible for reproducibility and scalability of the
syntheses; developing practical, scalable, and cost effective synthetic
processes for syntheses of organic compounds. You are able to prepare
organic compounds at mg-kg scales in labs. You will need to run routine
analytical samples by NMR, IR, UV, HPLC and GC and can interpret routine
analytical results such as NMR, HPLC, GC, IR, UV, and MS. Reporting to the
lab manager, the candidate will be located in Bristol, PA and will need to
coordinate daily activities with project management, analytical chemistry/QC
. Additionally, the chemist will be expected to resolve technical problems
and synthetic challenges routinely and to write up technical reports. The
chemist may also take other tasks as needed.
CANDIDATE QUALIFICATION:
1. B.Sc./M.Sc./Ph.D. in chemistry, ideally in organic chemistry
2. A strong understanding of the synthetic organic chemistry
3. Ability to perform literature searches
4. 2+ years experience working as a laboratory synthetic chemist in an
industry environment
5. Goal and service oriented and on-time delivery with quality driven
6. Self-motivated, organized, efficient, productive, and collaborative
7. Ability to communicate with different departments
8. Ability to work under pressure in a team environment setting
