You need to specify how many hours needed per day, 5 is different from 10.
Also you friend should know if with a vehicle, he have to pay an average
daily parking of $80, considering multi place he is traveling. It takes
about 1 day to go for costco and target, and there is no walmart in NYC
boroughs.

8 hours/day. What you need to do is drive him (or took him there by subway)
to some stores at Fith Street, Time Sqaure, and those three stroes
menthioned above.
