我99年在武汉办的身份证，有效期十年，号码15位数。前天International Employment
Investigator 找我要了身份证复印件。今天回了这么一封Email：“Thank you for
the fax.Unfortunately the copy of your ID was illegible. Can you please
resend a clear copy of your Chinese ID# or send it via email as an
attachment. Also, please keep in mind that your Chinese ID# consist of 16-
18 numbers.”我护照和身份证上显示的号码都只有15位。大家旧的身份证都是几位数
啊？有没有人有类似经历的知道该如何解决？多谢！！！

旧身份证号码是15位没错：6位（省市地区代码）+6位（出生年月日yymmdd）+3位（可
能是顺序号，不太清楚）。
你再跟背景调查的公司解释解释吧，应该没问题的。
