Male, 28yr old, Master degree in Chemical Engineering, graduated in 2015, struggling in California. Some experience in analytical chemist/formulation scientist in drug development I don’t know what I should do to break the curse on me. I was dragged down to the hell each time when I was lighted by hope that I may be hired by someone. I know I am not an outgoing person, I don’t talk too much. Furthermore, I am not United States citizen or green card holder. So, I need H1B sponsorship from the employer. I don’t think that all of these could be the excuses they turned me down. On the other hand, I don’t have a PhD degree or I don’t have much experience in chemical or biomedical research. I only hold a master degree in chemical engineering without practical experience. Dr. Hu was right, he said: if you don’t have much practical/ working experience, all the knowledge I have in chemical or biological filed will slip away even that I hold a master or PhD degree. 1. I believe that PhD degree is a general key to most doors where they may lead a successful life. Checked, NOT qualified. 2. The difference between people who hold a PhD degree and those who hold a master degree is that the people who hold a PhD degree could be the supervisor of those who only hold a master degree. Checked, inferior than those who have a PhD degree. 3. People who hold a master degree can pursue a further study in science or engineering for a PhD. Checked. NOT have much time for this. 4. I may start my business by secret tech would change people’s life. Checked, NOT own one. 5. Learning and design some Engineering stuff, which could be presented to professional people. I can try this one. I am happy because I have family and girlfriend’s love and support. So, I change the key tone of my life, I was pulled out of the unfailing darkness to a bright road through then end of this world To be continue…
