During the house inspection, found two cracks in the basement wall. The
inspector said it's settlement cracks. One of the crack start from the
corner of basement window corner, it's width is about 1-2mm. The other crack
is thinner but longer. There is another hairline crack in the basement slab
, I have no worry about that. Most probably the cracks in the slab are
because the settlement. The house is 12-yr old.
No water leakage signs were found around the crack. Is that usual to see
such kind of cracks in the basement? The house is in NYS.

Yes. Very normal.

没问题，叫他们给你修好就行了。如果是水平的，就可能有地基移动。竖直的比较正常

问题应该不大， １２年了， 地基早settle了， cracks不会扩大了。

惨，5月的还有额外4万点，我们这批就没有，而且当时有2个code，后来也死了，结果
年费又贵，而且还第2年就开始。
