现在是postdoc，用了一年opt，然后换到lab sponsored H1B。现在拿到一个industry
的offer，对方希望7月份开始，可以直接transfer H1b么？还是要重新申请2012的H1B
？如果不可以，可以重新改回opt过度几个月么？怎么做比较合适呢？
时间挺紧的，offer正在谈，这个可能会是个大问题，多谢多谢！！

My lawyer's assistant told me this morning they already mailed my cases (NIW
and EB1A) to USCIS last week! I am so surprised, because the lawyer never
sent me any notice about that, I haven't read my petition letters they
should prepare for me yet. I don't even know how they claim for me.
And, now when I read these two cover letters they sent to me later today, I
desperately find they are almost the same, yes, without any highlighting in
EB1A petition letter, just a few words difference between the two.
Still in the lab, but I really couldn't control myself breaking down
suddenly.

EB2 140. RD: 08/16/12. Status: initial review
Today checked the status, noticed USCIS added such words in red: " Expect a
30-45-day delay between when your application or petition is filed and when
your information is available in Case Status Online, depending on the volume
of applications USCIS receives."
My lawyer said my status is normal, it may take another 3-6 months to get it
processed!!!
Company does not allow PP even I pay the cost....
Anybody here has similar situation?

原来都看的是一年几百，感觉比较正常。
最近看一新区，说每月$120，管垃圾，小区绿地很多，说是维护费。
可以接受考虑这个区吗？现在我觉得还行，可是怕以后卖的时候
因为这个买家pass away。

OPT没有了并且你是需要cap-h1b
应该是只能申2012的h1b了， 10月开始工作。可以和公司讨论一下

是啊，我问了一圈也没觉得可以10月之前工作，刚刚给manager谈了，他现在还不愿意
放弃能早点开始的可能性，希望他们自己的lega consultant能给点专业意见，但HR那
边也太烂了，电话大部分时候都找不到人，留言没人回，email很多时候也不理，太失
望了，都想move on了。。。

请问你说的9页的cover letter是指petition letter吗？

i think the new text they added at the top of the page is a general
information, it is not for your case or any specific center. they just suck.
and we can do nothing.
i asked what can we do weeks ago here, since nsc is about 3 times slower
than tsc. looks not many in our boat and no good suggestion so far.

现在房子新，我喜欢，我能接受。
等我卖的时候，房子旧了，加上这个，是不是就是很大的问题了呢？

仔细读读这个网页

大意就是你可以transfer h1b, 只要receipt收到就可以开始工作，但如果工业界的h1b
在10月1号之前批准，你得停止工作，然后从10月1号开始。

You are most likely not affected by the delay. That web page is out dated
for new petitions, if I understood it correctly.

我也有些糊涂了，我刚才看到有的同学说cover letter 有23页呢，那个难道不是
petition Letter 么？不管怎么说也晚了，我的律师都没有和我商量一下，就把材料都
file 上去了，而且EB1A 和NIW的居然一样。

一样啊，我的receipt date是8/7。我前面有一个8/3号的是1/28号批的，心想怎么说也
该快了吧，可是现在都差不多两周了，还是initial review。

是呀，我原来也以为SFH小区都是一年几百，没想到碰上个月费上百的，一时
不知道该不该接受，继续考虑这个小区。

EB1A petition letter里的那些硬证据是可以都搬到niw上的。

我们也是SFH小区， HOA是150$，这个数字对于新房小区很正常吧
只要没有游泳池啊啥的，以后上涨的可能性不高
