无奈之下，今天给他列了个规则：
Rules for XXX
Age: 8, 4th Grade, Mrs. XXX
1. 按时完成作业, Finish homework as required by teacher/ do workbook
2. 早晚练钢琴, Practice piano before and after school. Follow teacher’s
notes.
3. 学中文, Memorizing Chinese word to earn screen time or money
a. Weekdays:
i. 6 minutes screen time (video, game, etc.) or $0.50 per word,
b. Weekend (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) and holidays
i. 12 minutes or $1 per word
c. Learning requirements:
i. Reading text book at least 3 times
ii. Writing Pinyin and words at least 10 times per word before you can
take a test
iii. Test/memorizing (randomly selected from all learned word, if failed
you should write at least another 10 times until you can memorize)
4. 吃点蔬菜, eat vegetables; 骑自行车, biking
5. 整理，always clean up (toys, books…)
6. 听话, always listen to your parents
I hereby acknowledge that I understand and will obey these rules.
I won’t force (or by means of begging, manipulating, whining) to break the
rules.
If I didn’t break the rules, and my dad yells at me, he agreed to do 30
push-ups.
