First ask them for agreement to write you a letter, with your CV for them to
check. You can mention that you're willing to draft a letter for them to
revise and sign.
Then if they agree, send in the drafts, which I write (with my lawyer's
revision suggestions, but you may DIY), allow them to revise and sign.
Only you know your own work very well, and you can distribute your
achievements in different letters. It's too difficult for them to draft a
letter for an unknown person.
