An NIH funded postdoc researcher position currently available in Dr. Wei Li
’s lab in the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences at the College of
Pharmacy, the University of Tennessee Health Science Center, to carry out
the organic synthesis of novel tubulin inhibitors for cancer and non-
calcemic vitamin D analogs for inflammation. The ideal postdoctoral
researcher candidate would have very strong background in synthetic organic
chemistry as demonstrated by related published papers, strong self-motivated
and be able to finish assigned work under minor supervision, and be able to
write/publish scientific articles. Knowledge about aspects in small
molecule drug discovery will also be helpful. The initial appointment will
be for one year according to our university policy, with possible renewal up
to three years upon satisfactory performance and mutual agreement.
