Position Overview
This position will join Financial Engineering team in Investments & Capital
Markets business division. As part of the team, the hired candidate will
work on developing tools for investment platforms, systems and improved
analytic capabilities. This role has a first specific responsibility for
building an in house debt issuance auction system, replacing a current
vendor system.
Responsibilities Include:
• Design, develop and support an in house debt issuance auction system
. Debt products supported will include: Discount Notes and Medium Term Notes.
• The auction system will be the first of I&CM’s continuous build
process (currently under development) to ensure: rapid application
development, continuous integration, test driven development and automated
promotion/deployment procedures.
• Accountable for developing solutions in support of trading and
operations requirements, and collaborating with other teams across
organization.
Basic Requirements
• 5+ years of experience and expert level understanding of OOP and OOD
concepts
• 5+ years of experience and expert level programming skills in Java
• 5+ years of solid working experience with Web development using
frameworks like Spring and Rich Web Client frameworks like ExtJS, AngularJS
• BS in Computer Science or similar
• Familiar with all parts of SDLC, with experience of continuous
software integration methods
• Experience with building web based auction systems with real time
capabilities
Preferred Skills
• Advanced degree in Computer Science or related field and may replace
some work experience
• Demonstrate ownership, innovation, and focus on delivering results
• Exhibit good individual and team spirit
• Solid working experience with databases
• Understanding of fixed income
• Experience with performance tuning for scalability and stability
• Experience with Linux/Unix shell scripts
• Technically curious, self-motivated, with a high degree of
accountability
