What You Will Do:
GoPro is looking for a highly motivated, entrepreneurial Senior Software
Engineer to join and play a key role in the Data Science and Engineering
team. You will deliver projects aimed at enabling business stakeholders to
navigate the world of data science in order to make mission critical
decisions. Like Hoban 'Wash' Washburne, pilot of the Firefly-class ship
Serenity, your efforts will be instrumental at delivering the goods to the
clients. Except we don’t have a spaceship and we’re not fighting the
Alliance or smuggling cargo, but well you get it! Shiny!
· Develop an integrated portal that will be the front-end face of
data science at GoPro
· Integrate existing development effort with external applications
· Work directly with Architecture and teams to incorporate
development efforts
· Think strategically while supporting tactical tasks
· Requirements:
Skills We’re Stoked About:
· Minimum of 5 years of experience coding in HTML, JavaScript ,CSS
· Have implemented HTML5 and Responsive / Adaptive Web Design
· Experience in AJAX, XML, JSON
· Experience with JS Libraries (jQuery, Dojo, YUI)
· Experience with JS MVC frameworks (Node.js, AngularJS, Backbone.js,
CanJS, etc)
· Experience using dynamic web application languages (JSP, PHP, XSLT)
is a plus
· Experience with Hadoop a plus
· Demonstrated abilities in SQL and data modeling is required.
· Ability to develop innovative applications as well as maintaining
existing code.
