Philemon Delouise, 27, of Alpharetta, allegedly attacked the 2-year-old pit
bull terrier mix, Roxy, while keeping the dog for a friend, according to
investigators.
On Feb. 28, Delouise allegedly held the dog down and stabbed it at least 20
times. the DA’s Office said. Roxy was then put outside and left to die,
investigators said.
Nine hours later, Roxy’s owner found the dog and took it to an emergency
animal clinic. Roxy survived the attack and continues to receive ongoing
medical care.
Police were called to both the clinic and the crime scene, Delouise’s home,
where he was arrested. He was booked into the Fulton County jail, where he
was being held Thursday on $15,000 bond, booking records showed.
A trial date is pending, the DA said.
