JavaScript/Node.js developer
We help people lose weight and avoid developing diabetes. We have helped
thousands of people achieve these goals already, and are now developing a
next generation, natural language-based experience that will enable far more
people to do so.
We are looking for a qualified JavaScript/Node.js developer to join our team
in building conversational experiences for platforms like Facebook
Messenger and Amazon Alexa. You’ll be building scalable user-facing
applications that include features like meal logging, weight tracking, and
activity tracking.
A strong backend background will be helpful, as well experience building
user interfaces. An excitement about working with new technology is key.
Basic Qualifications
Strong proficiency in JavaScript (3 years)
Knowledge of Node.js and server frameworks such as Express
Experience designing and consuming REST APIs
Experience with cloud platforms like Azure and AWS
Excellent verbal and communication skills and organizational practices
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with chatbots and frameworks like Microsoft Bot Framework
Experience with other conversational platforms such as Amazon Alexa
Familiarity with another backend language like Python or C#
Familiarity with MySQL and relational database design
Experience with authentication best practices and procedures
Knowledge of Object Oriented design patterns and practices
Experience building user interfaces
Education
Bachelors degree in computer science, or equivalent experience.
