出口恶气:对恶霸de鄙视信(不喜勿入)
Dear John and other eBay Customer Representatives-
I am very disappointed by the decision you made on my account. I want to
write back to you to express my 2-cents about eBay.
As you can see from my account, I have been with eBay for more than 10 years
and maintained good status both as buyer and a seller. I have witnessed the
ups and downs of eBay over the years. In my understanding, eBay should pay
some respect to its loyal long time members, rather than act arrogantly like
what you are treating me.
I view your decision on my account as a disrespecting action to a loyal
customer, especially the seller. If you look closely at my account, the
recent problem associated with PayPal was totally a misdemeanor from the
buyer. Without consulting me, eBay withheld the transaction funds that
happened almost three weeks ago, which was the reason that my PayPal balance
became negative.
If you could spend a few minutes looking at the communication between me and
the buyer, you can see clearly the problem. The buyer bought the computer
from me and then sold to somebody else oversea and then shipped the laptop
to another country. Only after the laptop was in another country, did they
find out the screen was cracked. Mostly likely it was caused by his
following oversea shipment (I have photo evidence). To maintain my good
seller standing on eBay, I had reached agreement with him to partially
refund him, after the laptop is shipped back to me. If you look at the case,
I sent the laptop to him in FL, now the laptop is being returned to me from
another country!!! Nevertheless, because of my good behavior, the buyer and
I reached mutual agreement to settle the case.
Now back to my PayPal problem. eBay withheld the total transaction amount,
which was the reason that my PayPal balance went to negative territory.
Initially I thought we were in dispute so I could leave it in that way. When
I realize that was a problem based on eBay’s message, I immediately put
fund back in PayPal to balance out the negative balance. However, eBay still
put restriction on my account. After repeated email and calling to eBay
customer service to explain the situation, I saw today that eBay still put
restriction on my account. I seriously question that as the eBay customer
representative, have you ever look at the case (dispute) closely?
Frankly, now I don’t sell too many things on eBay anymore. So $6000 monthly
limit is not a big deal to me. However, the action itself hurt my feeling
deeply. It’s just a clear indication that eBay don’t treat sellers well
and fairly. This kind of actions only will drive me to seek other platforms
to do my business. To be honest with you, I have found that amazon.com is a
better place. If the trend continues, I will just phase out eBay. Maybe I am
just a small fish and you don’t care at all. However, if eBay continues to
act like this, you will lose more small fishes and becomes less and less
attractive. Please keep in mind that sellers are the payers for eBay fees!
Best regards,
