我个人感觉今年的情况似乎比去年WORSEN了。
我们系那个做了PARTNER的校友说不少大所DOWNSIZE 20% ---QUIETLY，听起来似乎有夸张
的成份。当然他跟我说的那些关门的LYONS，PENNIE，LIMBACH，。。。，倒是确有其事。
他的原话：“Hundreds of IP attorneys who have been laid off in the last few
years who are circulating in the job market.” 自然的推论是只有尽量比他们做的
更好才能SECURE一份工作。谈何容易？但是，呵呵，至少应该这么乐观地鼓励自己啦:)
有些事情是你我算不到的。
我清华的一个师姐，在一所TOP5的 IVY LEAGUE LAW SCHOOL(也在那拿的PHD)，今年毕业
，要去一个VAULT排名TOP5的FIRM，更牛的是那个FIRM干脆不做IP。不佩服不行。
但是，她告诉我她们学校的一个2L中国学生今年就没找到SUMMER ASSOCIATE JOB。可见，
TOP5也没有100%的GUARANTEE。

Did not know you were from a small department :) good luck dude. You have no
way back, just work hard, and hope for the best.

Some agency told me "the job market is very low nowadays", so is the legal
market, which is for sure.
I have tried to seek a job for almost a week, most of the response came from
California. I feel so sad because I cannot go that far for their interview
because I locate in south America. I do admire any law student who resides in
CA and NY, they have so many opportunities.
There are some successful Chinese attorneys in bay area, they are smart and
kind. Some have called me and given me some tips

I asked a 2L in my law school about the job market and it replied as below. It
seemed not so bad now.I think everything will be fine.
"I'm a little busy working on revising a paper before Spring Break, so
I don't have much time to go through the entire interviewing process
and my experiences, but I promise I will at some point soon...probably
over spring break the week after next. All-in-all ****(School Name) works
hard to
find a job for all their students and I think as long as you are
persist

I think international students, especially those w/o GC, will be hit harder
in the year of election. Both party vowed to stop job export.

Yes, and there is also Harvard. But if it's one of these two, the original

Good point! But you are assuming the person likes to keep everything as
accurate as possible :)

I guess this (distinguishing Top3 from Top5 when applicable) is a custom among
law students (including wanna-bes).
