to choose one from ut, vanderbilt, boston u - to researve a seat. hesitating
between ut and bu. even ut has a higher ranking, I'm not sure about the job
prospect. it seems that UT is more like a local school for texaxans. bu ranks
lower, but in the admission letter someone hand wrote a few lines: "you will
be impressed by our excellent IP programs", which was enticing. even though
don't know if i will really to IP, but that's a very likely direction due to
my chemistry phd background. (and of co

UT is the best law school of all, without a doubt. You are right in dismissing
Vanderbilt for its location. Similarly, BU does have a little edge as far as
the location advantage and is marketable in the Northeast side. I will choose
UT if I were you. It is a lot cheaper and it is a good law school. It is said
to be one of the national law schools, but obviously has its best in TX. All
in all, none of them secure or almost secure a nice job in today market. Good
start though.

if u don't want to practice in texas, just don't go for ut.
texas is not good for foreign lawyers

why care how TX treats foreign lawyers? Austin is a national school. graduates
are supposed to spread everywhere. From whatever aspect, BU and Van cannot
compete UT. comparatively BU and Van are less national, their market more rely
on local or region.

UT is a good school. I know a guy who graduated from UT law. He is very
successful now.

I think UT is a good choice. I'm at Texas for one year now, and after several
years in east coast, I like here a lot. There are also a lot of job
opportunities in Texas.
Actually, UT is my dream law school.:)
