I will be in 1L this Aug. Any help on how to prepare for 1L is appreciated!
I bought Emanual outline series and Example and Explainations for
Torts/Contracts/Civil Procedure. Any other good books ?
Is there any need to read things like "Blackstone's commentaries on the laws
of England" or "The spirit of the common law" ?

E & E for Civ pro is perfect, for property is good, for torts, is so-so.
Emanual? No.
Guilbert for property is perfect.

my thoughts are that these study aids (especially emanual) don't have depth on
any topics. But they can get you started and can help you build your outline
because of their clean organization. a lot of law professors trash them. some
gilbert books seems to have better quality though because they are written by
some better professors. you probably should get your professor's opinion on
the books you consider buying - his/her personal preference will is a good
indication how the book suits the cla

Can you be more specific on this one:

What is the full name. I found this on Amazon. Is it the one?

Yes. But better wait for the new semester begins. You won't know which
hornbook works best for your textbook until you actually talk to the 2L and
3Ls who have the same professor as you.
