desktop management还不能代替windows 的desktop management。
一台机器crash了几次。
本来以为公司的windows 2000、xp 可以旧貌换新颜了。
其他的Windows的desktop management 好像不是太旧就是用的人太少。
有什么推荐？

刚进去做technical specialist一般给多少？
今天被问expectation是多少。。。问下大概情况怎样。
btw，我在HK，不过我觉得应该跟US工资差不多吧？

不理解呀。偶觉得Windows XP比KDE强多了，功能上，速度上，易用性上。
偶在Linux上都不用KDE。

kde 4.2是今非昔比的。kate, kompare等还找不到Windows下的比得上的对应物。

Give one example firm and location you know that pay 12w?

notepad++ for editor. Free.
Kompare and kdiff3 both have a windows port, I believe.
Or, there are some other tools that are not free.
ExamDiff Pro and Beyond, for example. I like ExamDiff Pro
very much.

kdiff3 development stalled for a while. and it cannot compete kompare
regarding to the graphic display http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Kompare.png.
notepad++ is ok, but kate is better.
the new kde desktop is much better than windows 2000 /xp if the bugs are
clear.

Legal experience or engineer experience? Anyway, I'm not a technical
specialist. So my experience is irrelavent. But for the patent engineers
working at my firm, they are mostly fresh graduates from undergraduate/
graduate school.

不喜欢kate。文件list在左边。喜欢在上面的tab

KDE is rubbish.. GNOME is a more useful one. Actually the best is XFCE

have u tried winmerge? I use meld in linux. Kate? I doubt people really use
it. I tried KDE on my laptop, 2GB ram. Slow as hell. KDE has a big usability
problem as well. You click more to get to the item you want. Try to shutdow
n, it needs 2 click more than both windows and gnome.
