之前在论坛看到一条有趣的加拿大留学生文章。那个作者以探究为何加拿大留学生论
文代写业务如此嚣张为由深入展开了讨论，一看论点却令人忍俊不禁。那个笔者认为加
拿大天气变化比较快，而且气候寒冷，容易使从中国来的加拿大留学生产生厌烦消极情
绪，因为抗拒写作业转而求助中介进行代写paper，并认为这是澳洲市场留学生代写业
务泛滥的主要原因之一。51due论文对此认为是没有多少根据的。
首先，如果说天气变化多端，英国可比加拿大更适合拿来做案例了。英国天气就像女人
变脸一样，甚至东边日出西边雨的情况也时常发生。而且常年大雾蒙蒙，怎么来看都是
个gloomy的气候，不会比英国气候上有什么优势。所以这个论点站不住脚。
其次，国内也不是哪里气候都那么稳定的啊。比如上海的有段时间天天气候变化无常，
经常让人摸不著头脑，才冷死了又热死了，还刮大风。东北更是夏天很烤，紫外线强，
冬天下大雪冷死。但是国内学生还不是每个省市年年都有人才状元，所以归根结底，这
个论点是不成立的，也只能做茶余饭后的笑谈罢了。

A Mexican CPA told me I don't have to do it as I will need to pay social
security taxed. I only need to do tax return at year end.
I'm worried about whether this is correct, shouldn't I at least do
quarterly report to avoid IRS penalty? Is corp-2-corp different than 1099?

1）市场不好，感觉有托
2）小拍地雷越来越多
3）另外有钱的疯狂人士也越来越多
今天一光绪仿的老康五彩中号鱼缸，估价最高才400刀，居然拍了9500！！！
俺上周200刀就拿下了一个类似的梅瓶，乱七八糟加上不到300，还觉得买亏了，还被LP
臭骂了一顿。今天看那鱼缸，也不知道是该高兴还是该无奈。。。

想入一个了，还有点犹豫。
跟上一代比，$599 的cpu, mem都增加了。
现在的PC很吵，mac mini吵吗？经常需要在旁边看书，不想关机！！！
imac 21' and 27', 一个太小，一个太大，哎。我现在用22'，3年了。
一年内搬家，27'买了到时候搬家麻烦。
各位有什么建议？
BTW: 本人只有macbook pro 15', 从来没有买过mini and imac.

到处都听说trim重要，但是都是说要SSD厂商把trim加进firmware里面，才能支持win7
的trim (或
者被win7支持)
又听说linux内核老早就实现了trim，那是不是也要SSD厂商更新firmware呢？
如果一个SSD支持(被支持)win7的trim，是不是肯定也支持(被支持)linux的trim呢？
很迷惑，见笑了…

本来今天也想在local的拍卖上买个瓶子，觉得价格确实比预想的高，直接放弃。看来
啥东西和中国粘边都贵的不行了。说明国内筒子们的购买力太强了

mac mini is ok. but depends how many apps u r running on it. i think it's
not that fast. maybe i m used to the iMac and mac pro. maybe the new mini is
better. :)

I did some research on this recently. Looks like
at the moment the only OS with out-of-box trim
support is win7. It works on linux if you have 2.6.28+
and hdparm 9.2+, but it's not automatic. You have to
run some wiper script periodically (like from a cron
job).
Also OCZ's firmware appears to have their own version
of "trimming" that reportedly works well enough with
any OS.

need
do i need to do quarterly report? for 1099 i have to otherwise IRS will
charge me penalty. is corp-2-corp different? i don't need to pay any taxes
until next January? in next Jan I simply pay a huge amount of taxes at
once and there will be problem?

我觉得慢到不会，和13寸MBP的config一样。看你干什么了，有可能需要把内存自己话
70块钱扩到4G。
可能有点贵。这个价钱可以买一个15寸的配置差不多的15寸主流笔记本了。

In your case, you may be subject to quarterly estimate tax, need to file 1040-ES

Also, file your state and local (if you have) 1040-ES.

You do not have to. But you will have to pay penalty in the annual tax
return.

Estimation. Self-employment tax is Social security tax and Medicare Tax,

401K is for payroll only. For self-employment, you can put money into SEP
IRA, which has much higher cap than 401k.

Right if your estimation is equal to or higher than what you should pay. My
estimation is usually lower than the real amount since I do not want IRS to
return me money, which has some risk. So I will have some penalty every year
. Not much though.
