我是2006年秋季来美国的F1，lp是F2签证一起过来的。
去年夏天我在外州做intern，期间交了不少税。做intern的夏季学期自己交了学费。
我lp去年秋季开始F2转F1，自费读硕士，交了不少学费。她本身没有work，所以也就没
交税。
请问我的学费，以及她交的学费，可以填在1044NR-EZ表里，用做退税吗？
我们两个要一起报税吗？还是一起或者分开都无所谓？

you are still NR so can not file jointly and tuition is not tax deductible

PHP的manual里找不到，google了半天才找到，主要搜一个符号不好搜
If you place an @ before a function that generates an error, PHP will catch
the error and silence it entirely.

是不是像我这种情况,也没什么办法可以争取多退税了?
我lp没有交税,就不需要填1040NR-EZ吧?

Your tuition may be tax deductible but I believe you cannot handle it by
yourself. It will be subject to the tax audit for more than 50% chance. Go
to see your local CPA and ask for help.

I do not see how a local CPA can help on this in a legitimate way.
NR has no standard/itemized deduction at all.

How can you deduct the tuition in Form 1040 NR?
