学机械的博士毕业后进公司，一般的职业生涯会是什么样子？是不是一般到Sr.
Engineer就完事了？做manager的比例有多少？
机械的起薪不高，不知道那些有10年20年工作经验工程师们的工资大概多少？做
manager的比一般的工程师的工资要高多少？

It says that one declares himself as "nonimmigrant" in thier tax return will
mean he/she abandon his/her permanent residence status.
I worked in USA with H1B status last year and I just got my green card
recently.
Now I am claiming last year's tax. Should I declare "nonimmigrant" or "
immigrant" status during the claiming of tax return?

一般博士毕业,很多公司就给高工了.但是也分公司.有的公司一开始就给得高,有的给的
低,能差出两级.
做manager和你的学历没什么关系.关键看你是否有LEADERSHIP,会吹,会秀,会拉关系,是
否有VIEW. 中国博士一堆堆做高工的,觉得很多人书读多了,把仅有的一点点可能的做头
的潜质都做没了.我就是其中的一个.光FOCUS自己的技术和项目,对技术的兴趣远远大于
和人吹牛皮了.做MANAGER就是基本不做技术,控制项目进度,开各种会.让我去干,我也觉
得头大.
工资看各个公司吧.工资太高,岁数又大,可是LAYOFF的第一批呀.

做manager和你的学历没什么关系.关键看你是否有LEADERSHIP,会吹,会秀,会拉关系,是

H1b is already US resident for tax purposes. You should have been claiming
as a US resident since you became on H1B. There is no such thing as
nonimmigrant vs immigrant when you do your taxes. Only resident vs
nonresident. It seems that you have done your taxes wrong.

报税的时候哪有什么地方让你来declare自己是immigrant or nonimmigrant啊？
保税只看tax resident还是tax non-resident。H1B跟绿卡一样都是tax resident，你

保税只看tax resident还是tax non-resident。H1B跟绿卡一样都是tax resident，你

好啊。不过说老实话，我觉得字符界面下vim和emacs已经差不多够了。真正应该做的是
一个像onenote或者evernote这样的编辑器，能直接贴图的。

不过现在sublime在前端青年中的地位也慢慢起来了，不知道atom跟sublime会是怎么个
进展。

我指的还不只是图形界面，而是能操作图片的界面。起码能贴图，很方便地对图片进行
处理，甚至视频音频。
