Tool chest is very useful to organize small piece of tools, wire, etc.
How to make it? Not hard.
Just put small boxes in a bigger box with drawer track.
如图：
Materials: Drawer face: solid oak,
Others: plywood.
Drawer handle：Home made with 1/4” SS tubing.
If some people like, I will provide more detail.
This project is for DIY ability level 2. (scale 0 to 5)

服了，连drawer handle都自己做的牛人。你自己弯的管子？不过这倒是能省不少钱。
这破玩意儿卖的贵。

Very nice, I guess it is much cheaper than the snap on I got on sale. Would

工具又不是自己做的，没什么可看的。别让新人因为一定要有这么多工具才可以干活。
别误导新人。
BTW；I don’t have many tools from the snap on. It is too expensive to me.

这木头在homedeopot就可以买到了吗，看着真专业。

Yeah, I only have one full set of hand tools from snap on too, and it was a
gift. I bought a snap on tool chest similar to the one you made. I was just
trying to get a idea what kind of tools you store in them, I have made a
similar one before, but the tools are a little too heavy for the draw bottom
, that is why I got the snap on on sale. so I plan to over engineer on the
next one I make.

Do you have 18 drawers or 12 drawers?
From your picture, looks like each drawer have two pulls, that makes me
think, you only have two drawers on each level, one with two pulls and one
with one pull. My concern is the two pull drawer have a large span on the
bottom, will it sag over time (I am having that problem right now with the
one made)

ops,居然把你也蒙了。
Itis 6 drawers。
One drawer has three pulls.
I am not using this one for hand tools. I have another metal chest for heavy
stuff.

That is what thought until I see your picture of two pulls per drawer.
Any way, provide details on how you made the pull and how they attach to the
drawer. Rotary draw bender?

The handle is made with 1/4" inch of SS tubing bended with the tubing bender
and make a thread on each end.
Is it clear?

Crystal clear and thanks. Would you mind tell me how much the SS tubing cost
(18/10?), I think I might be able to buy similar looking pull ready made
just as cheap.

I check online, it is about $17/6ft.Is it not bad.

Do you work with metal a lot? I worked with wood for a long time now, a few
years ago developed interest in working with metal, but still have very few
tool for it (lathe and some welding equipment). But recently got more time,
so I think I will try to build one out of metal this time, any tips and
suggestions.

Yes, tool chest. I run out of space in my snap on the day I got it plus I
got some bigger tools I would like to put in drawer type tool chest. Have
not done much with metal yet, only cut , bend and weld some storage shelf
frame. But am very proud of the BBQ I made for lamb (very similar to what
you see chinese street seller use)
