If you like more windows you can add this kind: Triple-glazed with Low-Solar-Gain Low-E, Argon/Krypton Gas Insulated Vinyl or Fiberglass Frame. Should not increase your cooling cost too much. But if you only want to add light (not view), I would suggest you add a few light tube. I'm in Texas, even 12 of 12 months is Summer, I still need the sun! 不过现在这边的新房子多数是加了反光材料的双层玻璃,再装上厚窗帘,夏天没啥问题 ,早晚打开窗帘很柔和的阳光照下来,比没阳光的房子强太多了。
