3-year period ending on the date of purchase.
看了5405的INSTRUCTIONS，FIRST TIME HOMEBUYER的一个条件如上，是什么意思？如果
在美国以外的国家已经有房子是不是也不属于FIRST TIME HOMEBUYER？是指从买房子起
的三年前还是买后三年没有其他的MAIN HOME？

是说你在这次买房之前三年内不拥有房子，美国以外的房产不算。

那为什么不加上MAIN HOUSE IN USA 呢
有的地方又特意加了MAIN HOUSE IN USA
