今天5.0%还是可以锁的吧，不过下星期就不知道了。

I planed to re-lock in this week for 3.95% 15 year. I waited a little to see
if it can go even lower. Today when I decide to do it, rate went up to 4.0%
now.
Just bad luck and too greedy. Closing has still two weeks. Maybe just pay $
325 to re-lock now then do not worry about it.
What is the chance that the rate go up in next two weeks? My feeling it may
go up and would not go down any more.

Well, it is always hard to predit the rate trending. Someone says it is
proportional to the stock market, but not always true.
Anyway, I don't believe the rate will continuously hike in the near future.
Maybe there is still a chance to do a 4.75% 30 yrs or 4.125% 15 yrs
refinance.

What the heck, I paid $325 to re-lock the rate at 4.0% for 15 years. The
bank has no free re-lock, that is the sad thing.

You are simply paying the fee to re-process the refinance. That's another
reason loan broker sometimes don't want to re-lock the rate.
