刚才去那个准备买的房子看看（not the final walkthrough），结果被我第一次看到
了房子漏水的是啥样。BASEMENT地上一滩水，屋顶墙缝里还在滴，豆大的。感觉好象是
楼上洗衣房的水管没接好或者破裂了。
那个卖主又搬走了，房子也没人照看。今年我们这里一个月下了７０－８０的雪了，所
以那些雪都堆积，快到我脖子那快了。天气一暖和，可能要FLOOD了，不管是在CLOSE（
日子是两个星期后）之前还是之后。好倒霉啊。
对于这样的情况，我们该怎嘛办呢？这嘛多的雪，最后一起化，是不是一定FLOOD呀？
欢迎任何建议！！！
我们还是想买这个房子的，等了好长时间才签的P＆S，但是看来CLOSE OR NOT又是个大
大的未知数，真烦啊。

The seller's agent was there. She will be in touch with some "handymen"
immediately. But what's gonna happen? Will this just be the start of the
whole story?

yeah, you have the big chance to make the price down....
ask them fixed and provide the receipt...
It may cause a big mold problems later....

hope you could walk away. we have the same situation, we listened to the lawyer, do not call the bank. ( my lawyer said the bank will create more problem and the bank will not send back appraiser. but now i think he just want to close the deal) I think the bank will send the appraiser back and maybe kill the deal.

So is this kind of problem serious enough to make you walk away? We are 1st
home buyer, so not familar with this kind of issue at all. We were
interested in closing the sale, but i am just now very concerned.

lawyer, do not call the bank. ( my lawyer said the bank will create more
problem and the bank will not send back appraiser. but now i think he just
want to close the deal) I think the bank will send the appraiser back and
maybe kill the deal.

俺不是大牛。正因为俺不是大牛，凡是有漏税的房子俺宁可让过，因为这种事情可小可
大，如果不是professional，事情大了的话，花钱可就没了底

冬天中间突然化雪，地还是冻的无法渗透，地下室渗水还是普遍现象。
如果是夏天下雨漏就不对了。

The 渗水 is from the 1st floor to the basement. Are you saying it could be
from the top floor, all the way down to the basement?

If, so, walk away for sure!
the mold will grow unlimited between inside the ceiling of the basement.
Family will get sick for no reason!
google "house mold"

我说的是地下室从侧面和下面往上渗。
你首先要查明渗水的来源。比如外面的雪堆得比你的一楼还高，那么雪水就有可能从一
些想不到的地方渗进来，因为除了发大水，夏天下雨水位永远不可能那么高。
你如果不放心，还是放手吧。

If, so, should be ok. put one or two (backup) sum pumps will be ok.
