我们看到了比较满意的房子，offer也被接受了。刚做完inspection，发现车库上面的
砖头外墙有2-3裂缝，当然不是很大的裂缝。还有地下室的支撑柱子有2根，inspector
说一般都是1根，这个另外的一根明显是后加的。其他的都是小问题，房子的状态都很好
我们担心这个房子会不会地基有问题，有没有这方面有经验的JM帮分析一下从这2点看
会是地基有过什么问题吗？我们值不值得找结构工程师来看看？因为听说结构工程师收
费很贵的

1，车库不算foundation;2,我看过不少房子有2个柱子。

搭车问一下，15天是包括周末的吗？还是工作日的15天？

你的inspector怎么说的?一般好像都是inspector先看过,他觉得有隐患才建议你找

Yeah, call a structural engineer. Told them you are concerns with the lally
columns.
Adding/removing a lally columns is not so uncommon. They are used to support
the timber beams. In many cases, when people finish their basements, they
could replace the timer beams with steel I-beams so that the lally columns
are not needed any more. In other cases, they might change the location of
the existing lallies for bigger open space. Of course, in all these cases,
you need a structural engineer/architect to run the numbers for you.
You don't need to be overly concerned by those old, rough lallies. Even when
they are failing, your house won't collapse over night. The sign should be
a sagging beam, and even after that happens, you still got time to call in
pros to correct that.
