We recently found 2 houses that we like. The prices are 80K different, due
to the different locations and school district. We have difficulty to decide
which house that we should buy. We consider submitting 2 offers (10% lower
than asking price) for these 2 houses at the same time. If one seller is

可以同时出很多个offer，之后还有讨价还价，inspection等等很多过程可以退出的。

money (called earnest money), do you?
theoretically you can make offers as many as you like, as long as you accept
the risk that you may not get all your earnest money back.

我们当时出过两个offer，但不是同时，是一前一后。第一个是因为inspection查出
mold后退出的，$1000的earnest money拿回来了，但自己还是花了$300的inspection
fee。
我不知道如果inspection都一切正常，或者卖方同意你inspection后提出的要求，你如
果仍然选择退出，就不知道是否能够拿回你的earnest money了。

觉还是值得的。
如果到时候更喜欢某一套房子，我猜可以提出很多“无理”要求或者要求很高的credit
来退出另一套房子？ 当时我的agent是信誓旦旦和我说肯定能有办法把earnest money
拿回来的。我也没具体问用什么办法。
不过更主要的是大部分offer都不是一次就被接受的吧，一般不都要讨价还价的么。

one house (the more expensive one) and start from there.
