My lawyer told me it takes about one month. But with my experience of the I-
140 application with the lawyer, I think they are too slow (took them 1.5
years to get my case ready). And they never worked until I pushed them with
three or four emails. I just would like to get some opinions , so that I can
give him a realistic deadline.
Another question is that I am wondering if I can change lawyer after getting
I-140 approval. I am so unhappy with the lawyer but I feel like I am
trapped. I applied for EB-1B, but the lawyer is not from my company.

看到一个HUD房。condition还可以，有个Pool，很脏，不知道要花多少钱清理。代理建
议我出比list高一些的价格。说70%的HUD房子都是比list price高卖掉的。list价格比
市场价格低2万左右. 我该怎么办？

485一天就可以准备好了吧？
485自己都可以办，当然可以换律师。
一年半准备140？这个太夸张了。

3周左右，主要是体检和办出生公证，如果这两样都齐全的话，花几个小时搞定了

Thanks a lot for the input. I was very inexperienced before I picked the
lawyer, and didn't get enough information from this board. The lawyer has
been taking advantage of me, that is for sure. But I just didn't thought he
was that bad until recently.
BTW, where do we get 出生公证? I remember I have one before I came to the US
for grad school. Can we use the same one?

Yes, it is good to use. You only need to submit copies of it.

If I want to change to a different lawyer, can somebody recommend a good
lawyer. I only need for 485. Thanks a lot! My current one is super expensive
, and I don't want to waste any more $$ on him.

There's no need to use a lawyer for 485 at all!
Just follow pjiang's blog and ask around here if you have any questions.

You need to get the 140 approval notice. If EB1A, you should have one sent
to you, right? Or if EB1B, your company has that, and you should ask for it.
