I was told by the attorney that my name cannot be in the contract because my
LD alone will get the home loan. I will not apply for a home loan but I
will pay most amount of down pay. is it true that my name cannot be in the
contract? Just want to double check it.

even if you pay nothing on this house, you could have your name on the title
or purchase agreement.
some lenders do require borrower's name match name(s) on contract, some only
require borrower's name on contract . you need find one lender who does not
require name match.

you can add your name later using quitclaim deed which can be prepared
together with PA if you have trouble to find a lender.

for some lender, whoever on the purchase contract must be on the loan. I'm
in California.
But you sure can find lenders who has no such restriction as long as you don
't care about rate.
