刚和公司的哦lawyer联系过了，他的答复和我在版上看到的不同，下面是他的原话：

If you find a new employer, you must file a new H-1B petition. You should
not withdraw the B-1/B-2 change of status application because that is your
bridge.
You would technically be in violation of your status (since you are no
longer working for IR), but would not be unlawfully present (because your
Form I-94 has not expired). If you cannot find an employer, I recommend you
should leave on October 14.

请问这为什么和版上大家提到的H1b可以transfer的情况不一样呢？是否有什么特殊的
条款导致我这种情况的产生？

背景如下：
本周一（9月17日）早上8：30通知被Layoff
本周二（9月18日）同公司律师通电话讨论身份的问题，律师提出几个option供我选择
Op 1：公司在10月1号通知政府terminate我的H1B，然后在给2个星期时间给我找工作，
如果在10月14号之间我不能找到一家新公司愿意接手，递送H1B application进行H1B
transfer，将买机票让我飞回国内
Op 2：公司在10月1号之前将我的H1b转为B1/B2，但律师提到这样我的H1B名额就废掉了
，即使10月初找到工作，也只能申请新的H1b了
这两个Option同我在本版精华区看到的例子有些差别——网友提到即使申请转为B1/B2
后，在短时间内（比如1个月内），仍旧可以做H1B transfer。
恳请版上了解此事的xdjm们指导，我是否需要在本月底之前提交B1/B2转换申请，还是
碰运气，试着在10月14号之前找到工作？
