如果付downpay的时候需要向亲友借钱，想算作gift，请问直接在check上面写个“gift
”算不算数？还是一定要一封信来证明这是gift？哪里可以找到这种信的模板呢？谢谢

贷款的时候银行会提供gift letter让赠与人签名的。

New purcahse can always use gif money but not refinance.
You need to have:
1. Gift letter, which is prepared by the loan agent and doner need to sign
2. Gift source. If the money coming from China, you need to show the wiring
transaction and receipt.
3. some lenders need to see donors' account to make sure the money is really
out of the true source but some lender doesn't.
4. your account statement to show the money in.
