This question has been asked many times on the board. For the property with
unpermit additioin,
1. It will impact the resell value. Many people try to avoid such property.
2. You will have issue for the loan. The best rate lender will not take
unpermit property and you will have higher rate for the financing.

我有同事买了没permit自己加建的房子。county纪录2千多尺，实际好像4千尺吧。贷款
居然也没问题，给他搞下来了。那个房子list了实际面积，但价格上觉得是参考纪录的
大小的。我同事买的便宜，我想大不了也便宜卖好了。他那个房房主自己好像是个小
builder，我同事估计是赌加建的不是豆腐渣工程吧。我自己不会买这样的房。

Yes, you still can get the loan but with the higher rate. Or if the
individual appraisor didnt write anything at the appraisal report but only
whatever the county record sqf, then you are fine too. However, if the loan
agent is aware of the unpermit addition ahead of time, they will not take
the risk to send to the lender with restrictions.

楼上好多人都瞎操心。没有一个贷款公司会知道你的房子有没有permit violation。事
实上，大多数情况下，如果房子比较老，township也不会知道。狠多贷款公司需要的不
是有没有permit，而是一个CO，那个就比较简单拿到，只要没有明显的building code
violation。
unpremitted work的麻烦在于，狠多work做得不靠谱，狠多code violation，自己住得
不爽，而且拿不到CO那是真正的麻烦。。
对了，怎么还没有奔？
