black-black/white-white is not a rigid rule, although it is the first rule
to follow if possible. Sometimes, color code had to be changed
for other reasons. I simply said it is OK "if the electrician knows what he
is doing". I did not say the electrician can disregard the rule. Maybe he
had a valid reason to violate the color code, then it is OK. OR, he did not
have a reason, then it is a mistake.
Whithout testing the whole circuit, to simply knee-jerk a NO answer at the
first galance of a black-white connection merely shows how rudimentary the
understanding of the field is.

好吧，算我说话不严谨。也有可能是2-way switch。
2-way switch 或者3-way switch 有一段要用4-wire接。可能只要一小段。有些人就用
一般的电线接。只要记住哪根线替换了红线就行。楼上有人说有红线，实际上是正规接
法。LZ照片的接法，inspection也可以过。
我们这的Code 还要求所有的接头都在Box里。如果灯的Round Box不够大，就要单钉一
个Box出来，还要有Cover。如果插座有足够空间，把2-way switch 或者3-way switch
的接头放在里面是最简单可行的办法。
LZ的插座坏了，买一个按原样换上就行了。没必要管别的线。
楼上还有一个说黑白万万不能接的是没有接过2-way switch 或者3-way switch的。
