I wrote all the letters with specific contributions (academic parts)and I
believe they make big difference. I meet the lawyer in May and he do not
want to take the case when he saw the publication list but he is very
impressed by the reference letters when he saw the reference letters (I did
for NIW). He believed it has a good chance to get approved. I worked the
lawyer assistance since the end of June and it takes 2 months to send the
application.
When the lawyer prepared the PL, I argued strongly against the weak parts
and thought they would cause RFE. The lawyer agreed with me finally and
deleted all weak claims and only applied contribution and authorship. The
lawyer also include the collaboration parts as the contribution, which I
think is useful.
Many thanks for all the help on this board and they are really helpful. Also
I suggest people the prepare the materials by themselves and use the lawyer
as a reference.

邻居的树有好几个很大的树枝伸到我家院子里来，到我家屋顶上面。一刮风的时候就有
点恐怖，因为感觉树枝要刮到屋顶了。我想把到我家院子里的树枝给砍掉，所以想跟邻
居商量一下，最好他们能也出部分钱。怎么说才能比较礼貌地达到效果，也不会伤和气
？还有，这个钱理论上到底应该是他们付，我们付，还是共同承担？有规定不？

理论上是你们自己负责，实际上可以去跟邻居商量。
但是态度要好，因为邻居好像没有这个义务。

按原题意思，只有内外层逻辑相同，才直接挂在外层下面，例如：

如果对方没有过失而是由于自然灾害导致树倒了，应该是自己的保险cover，对方不用
管的。我家院子里的树去年刮大风的时候倒掉砸到了邻居的车库，最后我和我的保险公
司也没出钱。

我刚给USCIS打电话要求expedite，
也是说有severe financial loss，
然后接电话的mm说你确定你要expedite吗，
我们对于financial loss的要求很严，
你要出示证据，而且request你的evidence这段时间，
我们会不处理你的case，
这样你的case反而更可能被delay，
他说你自己想想吧，
我吓的没敢要求expedite，
真不知道现在到底应该怎么办。。。

运气好啊，我家ld的renew三月份就寄出了，已经100多天了还没批，而且网上根本查不
到状态，刚打电话要求expedite，希望能尽快搞定

说几句如何写推荐信。我想每一个人其实最了解自己工作的还是你自己，所以你可以
list你的工作的主要贡献，然后让相关的人给你推荐信。结合自己的例子我具体的说一
下如何做。
geneA was fist identified in GWAS study to associated with human disease N,
but it is biological function in human disease is unknown as GWAS could
generate false positive results. So my work provide the first evidence that
how geneA cause human disease N.TO Make this a strong point, I ask the
corresponding author of GWAS paper (science), professor A to give a
evaluation of my work,luckily the senior author give me an OK.
GeneA caused human disease N through a mechanism called EFGT. EGFT has never
be found associated with human disease N, so this finding has academic
contribution. Again to make this point strong, I ask professor B, who first
describe this phenomenon in Nature, to give me a letter and he help me.
我想这两个例子可以说明是如何写推荐信的-把自己对academic 的contribution让
filed的professors去表达出来，这样你的推荐信就会很具体，显得很有说服力，符合
USCIS批的标准。
