韩国医疗防疫系统失职啊，原来国内的第一例MERS是韩国疑似患者非要出行中国才造成
的，前几天没关注，早餐听新闻知道的，太糟糕了责任心也太差，疑似患者还到处乱跑

首先，DIY，省了一大笔律师费
其次，装订没有用版上的fancy的方式，就是曲别针把5个exhibit区分了一下，然后用
post it在边上做了个标记 exhibit ABCDE etc，曲别针用的是实验室的， 蓝色的post
it也是日常做实验用的，这叫贪污。不好意思了
第三，打印，周末来实验室打印，用黑白的，没有用彩色的，而且尽量精简
第四，邮寄，大家都用priority，有的还用express，我就用first class，又便宜又快
。美国的邮局服务我觉得丢信的可能性很低。即使是priority丢了后邮局也不赔。不知
道那么多人喜欢用priority是为什么，快吗，first class也是两天啊。
当然因为RFE，邮寄了两次，这是花的冤枉钱。
第五，老头子急着看结果，就PP了，按照我的意见，不PP，不过因为老头子签证快到期
，PP就PP吧，这1125 大洋完全可以省下的。没省下就没省下吧。
第六，体检，到家庭医生那儿去体检了遍，包括TB test 和抽血，到移民医生那儿就填
了个表。95大洋，这个医生赚的这个钱真是容易啊，什么都没做，就赚了接近300快钱
。我们家三口人。当然不到三百，我把油费加进去了，我所在的城市没有体检医生，要
到另外30mile之外的城市去做。15快钱cover 来回60mile的油费。
最后省不了的485费用。两个大人加一个6岁小孩。接近3000. 因为小孩便宜一点。
所以总体来说，绿卡总共花了， 快5000了。哇，不算不知道，一算吓一跳啊。他妈的
，美国移民局真黑啊，恶了我这么多钱。

其实只要是DIY，花费都差不多。打印邮寄等能省几个钱啊，大头就是申请费而已。lz
三口人，这点光485就比大多数人花费多一半甚至一倍了。最省的应该是单身DIY而且没

我一分钱没花，单位请的律师，但是所有的东西包括一些填表都是diy。今天单位的
picnic，单位的法律顾问说他看了我的pl（中间因为律师的错误闹了一次），组织的相
当好，但是语言上有些地方不是特别圆滑，觉着律师干活确实挺奇怪的。。。

想要怎么办身份怎么花钱都是个人的选择，省钱就意味着自己要多花时间和精力，某些
方面少出了某些方面就多出，公平的。5K是否小钱要看事情的大小和一个国家或地区的
平均收入水平。按照美国的国民生活水平和绿卡这样的大事，几K还真不算大钱。
版上只花了少许时间精力所有费用公司或单位出自己一分没花的大把，应该高兴得跳起
来才对吧？

me too, we even DIYed photos. but i think they charged us more on physical
exams and we had to pay for birth certificate!.

哇，你是挺富的，5000快钱都是小钱。对我们这些打工仔来说，5000块钱就是大钱。想
想每月到手的钱，扣除乱七八糟的费用，扣除房贷，车贷，交了daycare，交了学校的
钱，然后往退休账户上再放点，到手的每个月可支配收入就很少了。5000快钱得我攒半
年呢。半年的零花钱你说是小钱还是大钱。对于绿卡，我到觉得并不是什么大事，也就
是一张卡而已，早晚会来，就是没有这张卡，日子也照样过。

看来是我理解错了，以为LZ发帖是庆祝自己拿到绿卡，现在看来是为了庆祝省了钱。换
句话说，绿卡是小事，钱是大事。
“也就是一张卡而已，早晚会来，就是没有这张卡，日子也照样过。”这心态值得落地
生根版的众WSNV好好学习。
我也是打工的，还真不至于半年只存$5000，相信不少打工的也会半年存款超过5000。
节省是美德，特别不宽裕的时候，想当年当学生的时候也很节省，奖学金一个掰成两半
花，但从来不会去show自己怎么找的deal，怎么省了多少钱，因为本身就不是一件值得
show的事情，只是有什么经济说什么话而已。
最后劝LZ斟酌一下帖子标题，最高级还是慎用，这个世界人外有人，天外有天，没有最
省钱只有更省钱，这不，马上有帖子说公司出钱办的才最省钱。或者至少加个DIY的限
定词。我知道有DIY最后倒赚钱的，例子太特殊就不细说了。

没死前就用这卡刷redbird完成每月配额， 现在500已经拿到， 还被记录进了1年
double cb的数值里面， 看样子像最后还可能在给500
不过平时网购很积极用这个卡， 因为cb高， 最后要是关了这10+年的老用户就惨了

可能我DIY绿卡时夸自己夸惯了，信心一爆棚就夸自己是最省钱的，就用了最高级。如
果我不这么夸自己，绿卡肯定过不了， IO就喜欢我说自己是最牛人，如果我说自己是6
%牛他都不让我过。在中国，谦逊是美德，但在美国，谦逊就是缺点了。美国的价值观
鼓励的就是张扬，你不见那些美国人做出了一点小成绩，出了一点小结果就在那儿夸夸
其谈的样子，嫌我们中国人闷，不积极什么的。所以我可能入乡随俗了。呵呵

那我的绿卡申请一分钱没花， 从头至尾都是公司付的，包括LD的绿卡申请，连后来的
EAD等也是自己不花钱的。中间我还海归了一段时间， 这头绿卡收到了才又回来。

就是年初不少人拿到花1000连着半年拿150的那波， 我拿的比较大的， 花3000给500的
， 本来觉得完成不了， 好在有redbird
不过这次apple pay这个， 开始的10%， 应该给的比较快， 10k完成， 就应该先把
1000cb拿到手， 应该是每月核算吧， cash out出来， 1年后全部的double就不好说了
， 给就给， 不给关卡也没办法
还有这开始的10%， 应该apple做市场给赞助的吧， 估计不会全由discover给， 又要
开阔apple pay, 又能促进不少人买新机， 给个10% up to 10k, 对apple来说不算什么
吧， 估计这个是apple和discover谈好价钱的活动

牛！连LD的绿卡申请都是公司报销。如果您的LD在这个公司上班无话可说，如果LD是个
家庭主妇，那这个公司也太好了吧。那我带的这个单位就太差了。就连我平常出去开个
会，我如果带着孩子去，孩子的飞机票还得我自己付。就连住宾馆，如果自住，宾馆费
全报销，如果带孩子，宾馆费只报75%，因为说是与公司无关人员的消费要自掏腰包。

lz逻辑有点怪。有人月光有人喜欢存钱，各人生活方式不同。lz不是也存钱吗？中
国人在异国他乡的，谁不在银行里放点钱备不时之需呢？捐给银行？这话好笑，是存在

的申请和我在一起， 当然都是公司统一给申请啊。 我以前同事还有一人申请全家几口

我这张也有10+年了， 几个月前给了个promotion, 每月3k, 最后给500cb, redbird cc
没死前就用这卡刷redbird完成每月配额， 现在500已经拿到， 还被记录进了1年
double cb的数值里面， 看样子像最后还可能在给500
不过平时网购很积极用这个卡， 因为cb高， 最后要是关了这10+年的老用户就惨了

我觉得不会没事为了逃额外返现关卡，因为discover这么做的目的是让用户把discover
的卡放在apple pay的默认上面，以后用apple pay的时候都用discover了。关了就达不
到这个目的了
