向前辈们请教一个BUSINESS TAX的问题，我是Resident Alien, LD做网络生意赚了点钱
，今年保税第一次填了SCHEDULE CE，用的是最简单的SOLE PRIPRIATOR，报了几千块钱
，以为把它算在ADUSTED GROSS INCOME就完事了，结果最近收到IRS的通知说我还因该
交SELF EMPLOYMENT的税，大约是15%左右，我看了一下INSTRUCTION好像是那么回事，
就觉得做点生意也太难了，赚的钱除了算在GROSS INCOME以外，还要交15%的SELF
EMPLOYMENT TAX，这不是DOUBLE TAX了？有没有过来人都怎么弄的？多谢大家！

我们公司烙印并不多。
有个烙印refer了一个朋友。我是一电面。很快就把他否决了，而且写了feedback给
manager。但这个烙印不死心。三番四次来找我。让我写再写个好的reveiw。这是不可
能的。后来烙印又来找我，说再给一次面试机会。我肯定不给啊。然后这个烙印就给
manager(非烙印）写信，要求再给一次面试机会。manager竟然同意了，就来找我。我
不干，于是manager就让另外一个老美再电面一次。但由于他那个朋友水平实在太差，
老美也把他否决了。
看看人家烙印是多卖力帮自己人的。建议我们多学学。

侧面反映了老印数量多，低水平能到美国来，我这里周围不认识什么找工作的朋友，上
次给几个朋友发信说有opening他们都表示最近不想换工作。

refer过一个朋友，大拿级的，结果来上班那天，来个老印。。。俺当时就傻眼了。。
。错在没步步跟进HM。。。

Hi,
Inspection reports says there is Asbestos like materials used as heating
ducts in the garage. And cost to remove it will be 2K, if it's real Asbestos
. (Asbestos is a known health hazard, and must be removed by qualified
company or technician by state law. It's a felony removing it yourself )
That is quite harsh, a felony for renovating your own house. You are
probably not in CA. Anyway, if you did not do the test, and is not aware of
asbestos, you are probably not violating the law. But if you did the test
and found asbestos, ask someone else to do it without tell them this
information, you may be in trouble, or if you do it yourself, you have a
felony according to your state law.
*If the ducts are intact without damages, you can just leave them alone. No
need to replace them. Asbestoes are only harmful when they are in the air
breathed by you. Of course, you worry about it or is afraid of future
uncertain damages. Simply replace them. It is an easy job. Should not cost
more than 1000 bucks. If you are in south CA, I can recommend someone to you.
The inspection report only says "Asbestos like", as the home inspector is
not qualified for evaluating Asbestos materials, we need to have it
evaluated by qualified company or technician before asking for credit from
seller.
So who shall pay for the evaluation...?
To have it tested, you need to take samples. Most sellers would not allow
you to take samples because that is causing damages to the ducts.
Also, sellers would not allow you to do so, because if it has abestos
indeed, he will be required by law to disclose this information to the next
buyer. So better not to know about it from the seller's perspective.
Finally, most sellers will not replace it unless there is any damage. As I
said, undamaged asbestos structures are not deemed harmful officially. If
not harmful on an official record, why would the seller pay to do it for you
?
Any one had experience in dealing with Asbestos like materials?

Resident Alien是正常绿卡么？
self-employment tax是social security + medical tax,大概15%
打工的话是你交一半，雇主交一半
但是你是self-employment，所以你要交两份，这跟income tax是不同的，没有double
tax

This is correct. Also, if you have a regular job and your 2010 before-tax
salary is $106,800 or above, you only need to pay the medicare part of the
self-employment tax, which is not much. Most software can do it
automatically.

我是正常绿卡，这么说大家做网络生意的都是这样的了？我用的是最简单的SOLE
PROPRIETOR，用其它的如LLC或SMALL INC会好一些吗？就是觉得要去注册什么的挺麻烦的

谢谢大家帮助，看来我还没被冤枉，我自己还没挣到这么多钱，唉，觉得做个网络生意
还想做个合法保税公民也太不容易了，好不容易挣到一点钱还要交上大约百分之20/30
的税。那么就是说这15%中一部份是算在LD的SOCIAL SECRUITY上了？

Use a tax software to do it. If you do not want to pay for it, get the free
version of taxact. I've been using it for 10 years, but after 2-3 years I
decided to pay for it (maybe you will too), so they have a good business
model. BTW the free version and paid version have no different in core
functions (i.e. don't worry about getting less refund for using free version
).
For the amount of tax you pay on business income, you need to know that most
people who make 100k on internet sales probably p
