昨天刚有人问过，检查车库的GFCI有没有红灯

先试着检查opener 上面的插座有没有电，这个插座也有可能不是GFCI的。如果有电的
话，可能opener 有问题。如插座没电的话，再开始排查电路。

检查一下弹簧，看有没断， 如果断了或有一条断了就有你说的情况发生。

插座没有电（上面的灯不亮），试了reset 和test都没有电， 是不是里面的保险丝坏

it depends on how you reconnected the breaker. if you simply pushed it from
jump to on, it won't work. you need to set it to off, then on.

我想你先按照costco 和光芒说的，再试一下breaker.然后我们再试着测下一步，问题
会找得出的。

my garage is detached from the main house (the breaker is in the house).
there is only one GFCI outlet in the garage. two CFL lights, garage door,
they are all dead now.
garage door openers are hard wired(not plugged to the outlet).
the GFCIs in my houses are fine.

your reset button is flush to the faceplate, that means it has already been
reset.
in the first scenario, if you push it, and it comes back to the trip
position, then, likely your circuit is still short somewhere. disconnect all
appliances from the downstream outlets and try again.
you can also connect one of your table lamps to the GFCI outlet while you
playing with the reset button, in a successfully reset, the lamp will turn
on; otherwise, it may flash once.

when I pressed it down, it popped up to the faceplate without any click/
unsmooth feeling.
I unplugged the garage door openers, tried again, still not working. other
than two lights(日光灯), there's no appliances connected.
connected table lamp, it didn't flash, not on also.
do I need to change the GFCI outlet first?
