H1B transfer上周刚寄出去，新公司说有了FedEx的delivery confirmation就可以上班
了，start date是下礼拜一，这个时候跟现公司辞职会有身份问题吗？小公司，我一辞
职老板娘肯定会立刻让我走的。

Hi there,
There is a little bit leaking on my roof and the chimney siding needs to be
replaced and painted. I found a roofer ( Jeff from potential roofing) and he
estimated like 700-800.
“Solve leaks at both sides of chimney by installing a new cricket and
flashing. Includes valleys and new material to match existing. We will also
rebuild the siding that has been destroyed by pests. Cricket and flashing
will extend beyond the side of the chimney to prevent leaks. We will also
reflash the all sides of the chimney including where it meets the eave as
discussed. Does not include painting. Includes all labor and materials such
as flashing, underlayment, dimensional lumber, plywood and 30 year comp
shingles. Siding will be matched by taking a sample to Dunn Lumber..
Expected cost is based not only on materials and expected labor but the
amount of detail work on numerous (6)intersecting planes. ($700-$800
estimated)”
Any idea about this estimation and this roofer? Any input will be very
welcome.

等到收到H1B Transfer成功的Confirmation以后再说，身份保障最重要，Transition
Period在两边上班都是可以的。
Start Date这个东西是可以协调的。一般给两周的Notice，处理一下knowledge
transfer之类的，新公司也是可以理解的。
理论上可以立刻走，不过败人品，一般没人这么做。新公司眼里看起来也不见得厚道，
当然一般情况没人care。
当然如果老板娘立刻让你走，那就立刻走吧。其实中间休息一周还是不错的，上班了就
又没假期了。
