Hi, the gas boiler is 32 years old. It is Burnham R206w. Still working fine,
but at lower efficiency.
I am thinking to replace this boiler with high efficient boiler (90% AFUE or
greater).
Can anyone recommend one?
I looked online, for gas boiler 90% AFUE or higher, it uses "Direct Vent".
Currently the Burnham is using chimney. How would this work out? Any
limitation in "Direct Vent"? The boilder is in basement (majority is
underground).
Any idea how much would the entire thing cost?

不要用high efficiency的，容易坏，省的钱都花在修上面了。85%够了。

There is a rebate from utility company if I go for 90% AFUE. The rebate
could be up to $3,500. Does it worth it? Personally I like the old one, and
would like to get the same model and use the chimney. But it only has 85%
AFUE. If I go with 90% AFUE, I am afraid I have to use direct vent or some
additional work on chimney.
