The builder is asking $2200 for adding crown molding for the living room and
office (total is about 100 feet long). Is it too expensive or it is
reasonable?

depends on many factors, a lot of corners, curves? what kind of molding will
be used? molding can be $2 - $10 per ft.

According to the quote I got, it is almost over $20 per foot. There are not
too many corners.
Maybe I need to find a contractor to do the job, not the builder.
