症状： AC 制冷效果不好。今年夏天温度高且持久；室外 90F;空调持续开，只能将1楼
和地下室的温度维持在77F左右。晚上将空调设置到二楼，需一个小时左右才能将温度
降到75F左右。前年ac加了近1 lb 的ferran; 去年气候不是很热，空调制冷马马虎虎。
冬天室外20F， furnace will turn on every 10 to 15 min;
公司给了一个报价 for new furnace/ac ；只问了一家报价，有以下四种选择；如果
pay check 会有6％折扣;
3000 尺 single house; built in 1999, in mid-west; Summer from June to
September 90F to 100F; Winter from November to April 15F to 45 F;

楼上楼下都要一起开吧，你只开楼上或者楼下，效果当然不好
FURNACE没有什么技术含量，空调还是出风口的问题看看是不是
够凉

如果要换的话，建议你4和2之间做选择，灰常不建议你上超高端机子，因为人工只有一
年保证，这完全是扯蛋。选1和2的话你还需要10年的人工保证，不然一年后如出现故障
，你绝对会哭。
我蛮同意雪妈和noles, 你的空调不像有大问题，关键是要找对师傅，检测和维修到位
。

有个帖子说, 空调evaporator 有filter, 而且需要换.我的空调只有进风口有filter.

你的情况跟我很象，不过我的是5吨空调，140，000btu furnace，同样的#4，我得到的
报价是：
$7600。 14acx + EL195UH135 + coil + permit(200)= $7600
如果是 13acx + ML180UH135 + coil + permit= $5800
我的师傅很不建议 he 机器，他说省电费没有那么多，但是部件要多，所以出故障的概
率高，还有维修费用很贵。他说，譬如普通空调机 motor坏了，换一个400， he 的换
要1400。

我这些日子做的research，2 stage furnace 对大房子并不是很有用。我现在的1
stage furnace 从来没觉得不舒服。不过，东西越复杂，就越容易出问题，这还是正确
的。
我的理解是：大房子，很多出气口的，1 stage 出热气的时候，不觉的风很大，吹的不
舒服，如果小屋子，大风呼呼吹，是不好受些吧。又有说，2 stage run 的时间长，那
么风被过滤的多些，这个我不是很认同，小风长时间，跟大风短时间有多大区别?不过2
stage 是提高效率的方式，似乎是这样，但是提高这样一点点，相对成本(现在的投入
和将来的维修)有必要吗?

1 hour dropping from 90 to 75, it does not sound bad at all!
to tell if it is working fine or not, use a thermometer, measure the
temperature at the intake of the vent and the outlet of the AC, a
temperature difference between 14-20F is considered normal. A good unit can
generate a temperature difference of 20F.
consider cleaning the evaporator (the unit in your basement or attic) and
the condenser coil (the metal fins around your condenser fan in the outdoor
unit). I did it for both of my AC units, it was not difficult.
Cleaning the condenser coil was really straightforward, just use a garden
hose to spray the coil directly to wash out the dust. The evaporator took a
bit more time, because I had to clean the mold first.
you may also replace the dirty filter (both in the inlet and the evaporator
filter, some evaporator filters are washable, like mine).

设备上应该便宜出500刀酱紫，但温控器不一样了，温控器可装稍便宜的。
