最近正在考虑加装water softener,找contractor来看的时候，对方建议把旧管道一起
换掉，否则新加装water softener也起不到什么作用。不知道对方说得有没有道理。
另外，water softener有什么推荐的吗？

铁管很脏，但软化还是有点用的。 60年的老房子管子早就换了吧？

那到底用什么管道呢？

热镀锌铁管？
金管？
银管？
玻璃管？
竹管？

get a softener company for the job. and get rid this greedy contractor.
there are pretty much only four types of materials for water pipes:
galvanized iron, copper, and pvc/cpvc, pex. galvanized iron/steel is rarely
used these days. the choices are pretty much copper or plastic. And both are
safe. don't change the water pipes unless you have a problem. it's
expensive.
