Another R01 like Proposal, rejected today
U01, scored 28 for the 1st time, don't know what will happen to the
resubmission, very scared and restless now.
Paper #1: rejected/resubmission request last October (prep for resubmission
next week)
Paper #2: rejected by BMC Medicine
Paper #3: rejected by NAR, waiting for Genome Biology response
Paper #4: submitted to Clin Cancer Res....
More rejections to come??? I feel so exhausted.

九月六号递交到当地中信银行的，现在还是no status
这个跟地点有关系么？据说要层层上递（到总行？）才统一发往广州馆，
不知道这么久还是status，是正常么？还是要联系下谁，心慌

发了11篇,不过合作的多,我当通讯作者就3篇,我最看重的一篇文章已经悲剧3次,上周又
刚投.
版上明星大牛太多,不好和他们比的.

九月六号递交到当地中信银行的，现在还是no status

有些时候，自己内心好像火山爆发，可对方看上去风平浪静。心理那个失落阿，也不知
道对方到底是怎么想的，对方一句话，一个眼神都叫人在心里反反复复捉摸上百次，这
种猜心游戏真实把人折磨得要死要活。。
看了你的博客，知到你已无权利去追求别人，你又不能明目张胆地追求对方，怕把对方
吓跑，另外也怕对方觉得你不那么稳重，反正你自己先把自己给否定了。这矛盾的心理
真不知什么时候是个了结。有时候想想算了，放手吧，可是就是不由自主地去关心一切
跟对方有关的一切信息，哪怕再见到他/她最后一面也好啊。
说真的，直到他/她能承认有那么一点点喜欢自己也好啊，好像此生就无憾了。
可是她/他，表面上看上去就是那么无动于衷，唉。
问世间情为何物。。。。。。。

第一个internal grant, 2000刀，挂了
NSF1 PI, 估计要挂
行业协会的钱，8万刀，挂了
NSF2 PI，pending
NSF3, Co-PI, pending 估计铁定挂，写的时候大家都讨论改投的事情
USDA pending
内部grant again, 不知道会不会挂。找了系主任当肉盾，找了dean当媒人。
文章，挂了一次又一次。后来系里的老教授说别投好的杂志了，弄点垃圾杂志投投，系
里一点意见都没有。

U01分数不错，应该能拿到吧。 Genome Biology投过一次，审稿慢的不得了。 花了快3
个月，最后还给据了。 从那以后，再没投过。不知道现在快点了吗？NAR从来都很快。
Bioinformatics现在审稿越来越慢了。最近的一篇花了7个多月才搞定。

你们一上岗就这么能递啊？ 我最初的两年好像什么都没做，一个NIH也没敢递。

光能投也没用,净是悲剧,版上一出手第一个PROPOSAL就能中RO1的大牛真是让人五体投
地啊.
不过我还好了,脸皮厚,投就是了,进步总有的,最后总能分点残羹剩饭.

另外目前NIH故意给不能FUND的PROPOSAL低分省得来ARGUE,我刚悲剧的R43只有47,实际
在全部70个PROPOSAL里面进入了前10的,PO还特别鼓励我再投,因为他们今年的钱只够给
1个人...

原来是这样。我最近的一个R43只拿到54分。我还奇怪这么差的分怎么没被triage。我
们不会是同一个study section 吧？我投的是NIEHS的RFA。

钱还是慢慢拿到的好。 Beginner's luck不一定是好事。我一个同学刚开业就拿了个
R01，结果到评tenure的时候后续没钱了，只能关门走人。我第一个R01也是一投即中。
但第二个R01还只能在梦中出现，很担心步我同学的后尘。所以，R01还是慢慢拿的好。

I do not even know what kind of R01 can get funded. Shameful.

这些samples真是非常的好。各种stage的都有，第一次申的，resubmitted的，还有点
评。
没有同事跟你share的话，用这些做参考足够了。

Yeah need more tolerance to failures.
I guess I had good luck to start with that well scored U01 so I had thought
too lightly. Naive.
hopeusw, can you exchange R43 writing tips? I have one coming with a company
but seems they just want me to do all the science and writing...thanks!

For collaboration proposals, are you Co PI (MPI) or co I? I can only be CoI
before getting my own R01...

U01 was the 1st grant I wrote within 1 month of starting the job...beginners
luck. It was not funded but they asked me to resubmit. The review will be
out April...so afraid now

按照胖老师的话：第一遍看评语你会充满仇恨，第二遍能看大概内容，看第三遍你就能
看到对你有用的东西了。

Some updates:
paper #1 is now under major revision in Mol. Human Reproduction
Paper #2 is now under major revision in Genome Biology
Perhaps things are going to turn to better directions.
I am praying everyday that my U01 will get funding in April...
