HPV can be passed from person to person through any skin-to-skin contact with
any HPV-infected area of the body. Even if there are no visible warts or other
symptoms, a person with HPV can still pass on the virus to another person. HPV
can be present for years with no symptoms.
the most important risk factor for the development of cervical cancer is
infection with the human papillomavirus (HPV). Doctors can now test for the
types of HPV that are most likely to cause cervical cancer (“high-risk”

the kind of hpv causing the genital wart, what you have, is not the same
strain that cause cervical cancer. however, you may also be infected by
the viral strain that can cause cervical cancer in the same way. since
most hpv infections remains asymptomatic, you should reveal this
information to your ob/gyn doctor, and have a PAP smear every year or every
half year to make sure that if there is anything, it would be discovered
as early as possible.
